Dear Badminton Community,

Please read below for how this impacts our events that you may be involved in over this week:

  • Masters Rep Trials (Sun 28 Feb) – Postponed.
    • Masters / Vets / Super-Vets trials will now be Sun 7 Mar & Sun 14 Mar, subject to Manawatu being in Alert Level 1. Alternative venues for use during Alert Level 2 are also being explored.
  • Meet the Coaches (Tue 2 Mar) – u13 & u15 Going Ahead. U17 & u19 Postponed.
    • U13 & u15 Meet the Coaches will take place at the NEW TIME of 6pm at Marist Clubrooms this week. There will NOT be any pizza and tracksuits will not be distributed under Alert Level 2. Players & parents may bring food with them but must take all rubbish home.
    • The u17 & u19 age groups have been postponed to ensure that we remain under the 100-person gathering limit in the venue. U17 & u19 meet the coaches shall now take place at the start of training next week at 5:30pm-6pm at PNINS (Tue 9 Mar)
  • Senior Rep Trials (Wed 3 Mar) – Going Ahead.
    • These trials have been moved to the Feilding Civic Centre 6:30pm-9pm. A later start to allow everyone more time to arrive on time. Any junior or non-drivers needing transport, please ask another trialist or contact us and we can help.
  • Year 5-8 School Comp (Thu 4 Mar) – Cancelled.
    • We have not been able to secure additional venue/courts. Given the anticipated number of participants and limited space in the only venue available to us, we have decided to cancel the competition this week. We will look at incorporating extra matches during the remaining weeks, to balance out the competition.
  • TNBL (Thu 4 Mar) – Going Ahead.
    • Proceeding under Alert Level 2 conditions in Arena 3 for all those teams scheduled to play.
  • Shuttle Time Badge Course (Fri 5 Mar) – Postponed.
    • We are not able to play at PNINS during Alert Level 2. We will run an extra week at the start of Term 2, meaning the end date is now Fri 14 May.
  • Masters Rep Trials (Sun 7 Mar) – Going ahead.
    • The Masters / Vets / Super-Vets trials will now be held at Feilding Civic Centre on Sun 7 Mar at 4pm-7pm. We hope that sun 14 Mar trials will be held at PNINS during Alert Level 1.
