Thursday Night Badminton League (TNBL) takes place almost every week and runs throughout the year. This is a 4-person team competition that caters for players of all abilities. Teams are graded and the competition runs in ‘Rounds’ that usually include 5 weeks of play.
Spaces are available now so get some friends or workmates together and make a team!
- Play 3 matches of doubles each week (1½ hours)
- Beginner through to advanced grades
- Shuttles provided, racquets available
- No experience necessary!
- Start times are 6pm or 7.30pm in the B&M Centre, Arena Manawatu

- Round 1: 16 Jan to 30 Feb [3 week round]- entry deadline: Mon 13 Jan
- Round 2: 6 Feb to 6 Mar – entry deadline: Mon 3 Feb
- Round 3: 13 Mar to 17 Apr [no play Thu 27 Mar] – entry deadline: Mon 10 Mar
- Round 4: 24 Apr to 22 May – entry deadline: Fri 18 Apr
- Round 5: 29 May to 26 Jun – entry deadline: Fri 23 May
- Round 6: 17 Jul to 14 Aug – entry deadline: Fri 11 July
- Round 7: 21 Aug to 2 Oct [no play 28 Aug and 25 Sep] – entry deadline: Fri 15 Aug
- Round 8: 9 Oct to 13 Nov [no play 6 Nov] – entry deadline: Fri 3 Oct
- Round 9: 20 Nov to 18 Dec – entry deadline: Fri 14 Nov
Team Fees:
All TEAMS must pay for the Full Round at the start of each Round.
All subs will be asked to pay the appropriate nightly fee.
New teams can be entered, or current ones withdrawn, between each round.
