We are pleased to announce that Manawatu Badminton is once again hosting the Manawatu Secondary Schools Badminton Competition.

We have 49 teams entered which is great and up on last year! Yay! For team lists click here

The first week will be grading games for the Senior Girls & Senior Boys.

This will help us make it an even and enjoyable competition for everyone.

From our experience of running the competition last year and the fact that our junior rep players are not spread evenly around the local secondary schools we have not included an elite grade.

The competition is more a recreational tournament where most of the players are new to the sport.

So all teams must have no more than two rep players per team except in the case where a school doesn't have enough players to be able to field an extra team.

The competition will be a doubles only tournament.

National Secondary Schools Competition

Please note - Entry to the competition is now by direct entry unlike previous years where you had to be a regional qualifier.
